Pal-Think and FXB France Conclude “Gaza’s Marathon to Spread Civil Peace” Implemented by Amwaj

“The Palestinian Consortium for Nonviolence” project, Amwaj Association for Social Development and Improvement, in partnership with Pal -Think for Strategic Studies, organized the” Gaza Marathon to spread Civil Peace” event. It took place in front of Al-Khalidi Mosque on the North of Gaza beach.

Many civil society organizations actively participated in the event which aims to promote a culture of non-violence and social peace among Palestinian society. The marathon included a closing ceremony honoring the winners of the race, in addition to artistic activities during the celebration, it called for spreading social reconciliation and rejecting the disputes and disputes in the Palestinian society, and stressed the need to spread the culture of dialogue to reach a society free from violence

Ms. Jihad al-Zeti, the Coordinator of Marathon, stressed the role of youth in promoting a culture of non-violence in Palestinian society, and that the idea of marathon came from the young participants themselves who insisted that they practice this activity in the Palestinian streets carrying the message “Together to promote community peace”, to convey their message on the importance of spreading the culture of non-violence in Palestinian society. She noted the role of the association in continuing to promote a culture of non-violence within the various activities implemented by the association.

On the other hand, Ms.Sally Al Sammak the project coordinator of Pal-Think emphasized during her speech that Pal-Think continues these activities in all Palestinian governorates, northern and southern, until it reaches its general goal in dissemination the community peace and the culture of nonviolence.
